Debra Lynn “Deb” Bowersmith, 55, of Marysville, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus following a brief and unexpected illness.
She was born Jan. 18, 1960, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Billy Gene and Julia Ann Markle Woods Sr.

Marysville Exempted Village School District has given notice that it will end an agreement with the city to provide School Resource Officers in each of the buildings. The move was part of a contingency plan enacted last week when the school levy failed. In addition to providing security for the buildings, the officers served as ambassadors for the police department with community students and families. Officials have said the eight resource officers and the sergeant that oversees the program will be absorbed by the police department.
