Richwood Council expects new cruiser soon, hears noise complaint

Marysville Exempted Village School District has given notice that it will end an agreement with the city to provide School Resource Officers in each of the buildings. The move was part of a contingency plan enacted last week when the school levy failed. In addition to providing security for the buildings, the officers served as ambassadors for the police department with community students and families. Above, Officer Jason Nichols, one of the community SROs, interacts with students. Officials have said the eight resource officers and the sergeant that oversees the program will be absorbed by the police department.
