A Marysville woman is facing prison time after allegedly attacking several people trying to help her.
The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Heather Marie McCroskey, 24, of 50 Poplar St. McCroskey is charged with five counts of assault.
According to court documents, on Aug., 11, McCroskey was taken to Memorial Hospital. While waiting on a phone consultation with a mental health facility, McCroskey allegedly ran from the room and attacked a doctor. She allegedly threw things, including furniture at the doctor then slapped, hit and kicked her. A male nurse saw the encounter and tried to step in. McCroskey hit the nurse several times. Another nurse told McCroskey to stop hitting people, “at which time McCroskey stepped forward and struck (the nurse) and kicked her several times. Another nurse was also kicked in the leg, causing pain for several days.
The police were called and McCroskey allegedly tried to attack the first responder, Marysville Police Officer Michael Burkhardt.
According to court documents, the officer was trying to talk to the woman, when she, “charged the officer with balled up fists raised above her head.”
The officer took the woman to the ground.
If convicted, McCroskey could face as many as five years in prison. McCroskey has prior assault convictions in December 2017 and in April and May of this year.
Also indicted was:
– Noah Albon Burnett, 20, of 123 W. State St., Milford Center. Burnett is charged with theft and two counts of forgery. According to court documents, in July, Burnett allegedly stole a blank check, then wrote it to himself for $800 and cashed it. If convicted, Burnett could face as many as 24 months in prison.
– Robert Macmichael, 40, whose court-listed address is the Tri-County Regional Jail. Macmichael is charged with one count of felony burglary and one count of misdemeanor attempted petty theft. According to court documents, on Aug. 31, Macmichael went to a local retailer and allegedly tried to steal a mattress. Macmichael was not allowed into the store because he had been allegedly caught trying to shoplift.
If convicted, Macmichael could face more than eight years in prison.
– Mark Adam Kemmere, 24, of Kenton. Kemmere is charged with three counts of theft. According to court documents, Kemmere allegedly stole three debit cards and used one of them to buy a cellphone. If convicted, Kemmere could face as many as 36 months in prison and be forced to forfeit the cellphone.
– Nicholas J. Monnin, 27, whose court-listed address is the Tri-County Regional Jail. Monnin is charged with one count of burglary, a felony, and one county of petty theft. According to court documents, on Sept. 8, Monnin went to a local retailer and allegedly tried to steal merchandise. Monnin had been told not to be at the store.
If convicted, Monnin could face more than eight years in prison.
