“Topping Ceremony” held

This farmer on Robinson Road is one of many around Union County, specifically in the southern portion, who have already started pulling crops out of the field. It’s the earliest start to the local harvest season many farmers can remember. A historically dry summer has led to fears about this year’s crop yield. Michael McPherson is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing a gun in Marysville’s Uptown. He allegedly showed the gun a while outside Stephens Lounge on Main Street. McPherson was in the passenger seat of a truck. As the truck drove west through the intersection of Main and Fifth streets, McPherson allegedly pointed the gun out the window and fired multiple shots in the direction of those gathered outside the bar.
