Man sentenced for shooting nephew

A local man who tried to kill his nephew will spend more than a decade behind bars for the crime.

In March, a jury convicted Richard A. Smith Jr., 53, of 13163 Route 347, of attempted murder as well as domestic violence, using weapons while intoxicated and two counts of felonious assault.
