Triad girls hoopsters notch win over Springfield Shawnee

Abbey Overfield scored 16 points and Mia LeMay added 12 as Triad’s girls basketball team opened with a victory on Saturday.

The Lady Cardinals turned back Springfield Shawnee, 48-33.

Shawnee held a 12-10 edge after the first quarter, but Triad took a 24-22 margin at halftime.
