Police Beat – 2/25/25

The Hyland Commons development, shown above outlined in red, is slated to go north of the Jerome Grand development on Hyland-Croy Road, with the assumed phase two expansion of Jerome Grand to the west. The newly zoned 6.97-acre lot is intended to have retail uses as well as residential apartments and act as a community center to the surrounding neighborhoods. (Graphic submitted)

New designs for the Five Points roundabout, shown above, indicate there will be four routes at the intersection, as the City of Marysville plans to shut down and reroute a portion of East Fifth Street and add a light. The concept comes after the city announced it purchased the land that currently holds Eda’s Italian Ice. The project is slated for 2027. (Graphic submitted)
