Union County is the home of the Ohio Heritage Conference’s North Division boys basketball player of the year.

Panther senior Holtz Maine has earned that honor through voting by the division’s coaches for the 2024-2025 campaign.

The robbery suspect, pictured above, wore all black as he carried out two robberies, one at the Village Pantry Marathon at 303 E. Fifth St. and the other at Certified Oil Marathon at 809 Columbus Ave. The suspect used a black handgun – which police believe to be a Glock – to steal an unknown amount of money from the two stores.
