John Randall Andrews 81, of Pensacola, Florida, a former resident of Marysville, Ohio passed away on March 10, 2025. He was born in Marysville on September 15,1943 to Lawrence (Bud) Andrews and Mona Sherburne Andrews and grew up in Watkins. He was married to Lynn (Avasso) Andrews for 58 years. He graduated from Scioto Valley High School, Ostrander, Ohio class of 1961 and immediately joined the US Navy. He proudly served on the USS Stormes DD-780, which played a crucial role during the Cuban Missle Crisis in 1962. After his military service, John began a career as a lineman with Southern Bell in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida advancing to a management role before retiring in 1990. He then worked as a truck driver for Byline Transit in Marysville before retiring and moving to Pensacola, Florida. He loved all sports and was a passionate Miami Hurricanes football fan and before his illness attended all university of West Florida girls basketball and softball games. John loved playing euchre with family and friends and hosting large BBQ’s and holiday family dinners. He was preceded in death by his son, Casey Randall Andrews, of Margate, Florida, his parents and his brother Dale Andrews of Marysville. He is survived by his wife, Lynn, his daughter, Kathryn Carmichael, his grandson John Callahan and grandaughter Katryna Callahan all of Pensacola, his sister Beverly Ezerins of Marysville, and special friend, Karlis Ezerins, of Pensacola. His ashes will be interred in Barrancas National Cemetery at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
