With the high school wrestling season racing toward the post-season, the Central Buckeye Conference has released its All-Conference honorees after the conclusion of its tournament.
In the Mad River Division of the CBC, three North Union Wildcats were awarded all-conference recognition for their production on the mat this season.
North Union’s 113-pounder Trace Williams and 190-pounder Shan Swank earned Second Team All-CBC honors.
North Union’s Gabe Hansen also took Special Mention All-CBC honors for his work serving as the team’s 126-pounder.
Additionally, Swank also was recognized as one of six Sportsmanship Award winners.
In the Kenton Ridge Division, several Jonathan Alder Pioneers were awarded All-CBC honors.
JA’s 150-pounder Oliver Byerly, 157-pounder Pryce Watson, 175-pounder Anthony Kroninger and 190-pounder Will Heisler were named to First Team All-CBC.
Additionally, the Pioneers had 120-pounder Xavier Pierce and 144-pounder Owen Crabtree take second team honors.
Pioneer Heavy-weight grappler Damon Hay earned Special Mention All-CBC honors.
JA’s J.J. Bay took home a Sportsmanship Award for the Red and Black.
